THE SOLUTION

The challenge has always been to bridge the various times of energy consumption and generation, and generate enough electricity all the year.

 

Through the networking of electricity-generating pellet boiler, photovoltaic installation and electricity storage it is now possible to produce electricity from renewable sources in winter as well as in summer. If the energy is not needed, it is stored in the battery and becomes available until later.

The Pellematic Condens is one of the most efficient pellet boilers in the world. The Condens-technology achieves the record efficiency.

 

The Pellematic Condens is offered in an "e-ready" version for the preparation for retrofitting the electricity generation. Pre-prepared interfaces on the control and hydraulics facilitate subsequent retrofitting. This is the first step towards future energy independency.

Through photovoltaics it is possible to cover about 30% of the own electricity requirement in a family house.

 

Technologies for the optimization of electricity consumers increase this quota insignificantly.

The electricity storage plays a central role in the electricity-sufficient house. Similar to a heat accumulator, it buffers electrical energy, which is not needed immediately during production and makes it available at a later time. With its support, about 70% coverage can be achieved.

the pellet boiler can be equipped

with a Stirling engine.

In normal boiler operation, the engine is 600 watts and can provide the last 30% electricity at the right time - in winter, when no sun is shining.

Comparison to heat pump & PV

In order to supply a small 10 kW heat pump with 100% solar electricity, photovoltaics of 45 kWp* (corresponding to 350 m2 of south-facing-area) and a 40 kWh storage capacity (3x largest home battery of Tesla) would be needed.

 

This means, even with a 10 kWp PV and electricity storage, a heat pump doubles the electricity demand of a house and doubles the dependency on the electricity supplying companies.

 

 

 

WEATHER-DEPENDENT CONTROL

The operation of the Stirling engine depends on the weather and the produciton of the PV system.

 

If a lot of sun is available, the heating system is supplied from the buffer storage and the PV system charges the battery.

 

On days without sun the Stirling engine runs and supplies the building with heat and electricity.

 

ONE INTERFACE FOR THE WHOLE ENERGY SYSTEM

The operation and visualization of the entire energy system is carried out via the user interface of the Pellematic Touch. All relevant data of the system components are displayed on the operating unit of the boiler and records all data on request. The online portal my.oekofen.info offers comfortable and user-friendly visualization possibilities.
